He built a permanent professional army. He created the Praetorian guard. He conquers new territory (Gaul). He rebuilt Rome and made it beautiful. He fed the poor so they won't cause as much trouble. He improved Roman Government. He fixed the tax system and made the legal system fair.
2. Who led Rome after Augustus?
After ruling for 40 years, Augustus dies in year 14. Augustus trained Tiberius to come after him and then we have Cladius, Caligula, and Nero.
3. Who were considered "good emperors?"
Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius, and Marcus Aurelius. were considered to be the good emperors of Rome.
4. What unified the empire?
The empire had grown too big so Hadrian built the Hadrian Wall. The Empire covered 3.5 million square miles and Latin and Greek language dominated. The Roman Laws were what really unified the empire.

Latifundia was very common and lots of crops were produced so they could sell the crops and make a lot of money.

Roads provided trade routes and the money could buy so much to help improve the Roman City.

The volcano already had a surge that destroyed a city. There is panic in Pompeii. They said many people were committing suicide. They had a surge that almost got to Pompeii. Then, they had one final surge that killed pretty much everyone except for a very few amount of people.
